Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has completed a vibrant roadshow across Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune, strengthening its connection with India’s flourishing business landscape. The tour reflects RAKEZ’s long-standing relationship with Indian investors and its intent to nurture growth opportunities across borders.
At the heart of the visit was a landmark collaboration in Hyderabad, where RAKEZ signed a strategic agreement with the World Telugu Information Technology Council (WTITC). The agreement aims to support the Telugu business diaspora in exploring global expansion through Ras Al Khaimah. The RAKEZ team also toured innovation hubs like T-Hub and T-Works, gaining deeper insights into India’s startup ecosystem.
In Mumbai, RAKEZ joined the UAE–India Start-up Series launch at the Mumbai Start-up Sundowner, a dynamic networking platform connecting new ventures with UAE-based opportunities. The team also held productive meetings with key figures, including UAE Ambassador H.E. Dr. Abdulnasser Alshaali and CEPA Council leaders.
India remains a cornerstone of RAKEZ’s investor base, with over 9,500 Indian businesses thriving within its ecosystem. This roadshow underlines RAKEZ’s growing role as a trusted launchpad for Indian enterprises aiming for global reach from the UAE.
GoBusiness is pleased to share an exciting update from Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), which recently concluded a strategic business mission to Russia as part of the official UAE delegation led by the Ministry of Economy. The mission reinforced RAKEZ’s commitment to international growth and positioned Ras Al Khaimah as a compelling destination for manufacturing and logistics investment across the region.
During the visit, RAKEZ’s Chief Commercial Officer, Anas Hijjawi, represented the zone at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025. Speaking on the panel titled “Effective Non-Financial Support Measures for Industry,” Hijjawi showcased RAKEZ’s role in driving industrial development through specialised zones, easy setup solutions, and sustainable infrastructure. His insights highlighted how RAKEZ continues to support global manufacturers and exporters looking to expand in the UAE.
The delegation also held targeted B2B meetings with leading Russian companies in logistics, food production, technology, chemicals, and more. RAKEZ engaged directly with representatives from key regions such as Ulyanovsk and Udmurtia, while also meeting with Aleksandr Kalinin, President of OPORA Russia, to explore collaborative opportunities for supporting SMEs. Commenting on the mission, RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad reaffirmed the zone’s dedication to long-term partnerships.
With over 1,200 Russian businesses already part of the RAKEZ ecosystem, including names like EPAM, WGS Middle East, and BaseTrack, the zone remains a powerful platform for international businesses seeking regional access, connectivity, and scalable growth.
